The beat.rip edge asks gql.twitch.tv directly, and nobody in between. The GraphQL endpoint Twitch’s own site calls, with its public web client id: user(login:) is the account or null. A null can still be a reserved or banned name.
Requests are paced to at most 2 requests at a time, 200 ms apart, identify themselves as beat.rip, and each answer is cached for seconds to minutes, so a busy minute never hammers the platform.
